Chase Baker
My husband and I, who both work full time, could continue to keep our jobs and not have to take leave of absence or quit to take care of Chase when our nursing through our insurance ends.

Approved, but family called and said they don't need the respite hours yet as their insurance is covering it until Medicaid kicks in.

Welcome to CAP

Children Are Precious (CAP) is a non-profit organization whose primary goal is to offer financial support for respite services to families of children with special needs. Respite services will be provided for children ranging in age from birth to 26 years old. CAP will provide funds to support nursing care for one to three days. Longer periods of time will be determined on an individual basis. This allows the family to be relieved of the financial, emotional, and physical burdens of care. The nursing care can be provided by willing hospitals in the area or through nurses or other health care agencies. CAP will not provide direct medical care, advice or make recommendations for such care.

AT THE PRESENT TIME, CAP IS NO LONGER ABLE TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR RESPITE REQUESTS DUE TO A LACK OF MONEY.  SHOULD WE BE ABLE TO RAISE MORE MONEY, WE WILL LET EVERYONE KNOW.  UNTIL THAT TIME, ALL REQUESTS FOR FUNDING HAVE TO BE DENIED.
