 Nicholas Nicholas has Pierre Robin Syndrome and has a tracheostomy and is ventilator and oxygen dependent. He lived with his mom and dad and three other siblings with severe handicaps that his parents adopted. Nicholas' dad used Children Are Precious respite when his wife went into the hospital due to her health, and then his mom again called on CAP when her husband (Nicholas' dad) passed away suddenly. The family was devastated and CAP really helped them get through this hard time.

Welcome to CAPChildren Are Precious (CAP) is a non-profit organization whose primary goal is to offer financial support for respite services to families of children with special needs. Respite services will be provided for children ranging in age from birth to 26 years old. CAP will provide funds to support nursing care for one to three days. Longer periods of time will be determined on an individual basis. This allows the family to be relieved of the financial, emotional, and physical burdens of care. The nursing care can be provided by willing hospitals in the area or through nurses or other health care agencies. CAP will not provide direct medical care, advice or make recommendations for such care.
