FAQ
How do I get help from CAP?Simply call or e-mail us. You can download a copy of the application from our website or have us mail you one. We will work to get your respite care quickly and easily. Feel free to call us at anytime with any questions. Someone will respond to a phone call within 24 hours.
What options for respite are available? You can either obtain in-home respite care or we have an agreement with William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak where if pediatric beds are available on the weekend, these can also be utilized for out-of-home care.
How often can I use CAP?In order to give all families an opportunity and based on available monies, we usually have to limit families to using our service to once every two or three months for no longer than a week at a time. Of course, should an emergency arise, please do not hesitate to contact us so we can work something out. We’re here to work with you, not against you!
What is my cost?At the present time, there is no cost to families to utilize CAP. Should circumstances change, a sliding scale would be implemented, but there are no plans to do that in the near future.
